Calcium and vitamin D are very important in reducing the risk of osteoporosis. Since it is difficult to get the recommended levels through diet, supplements are typically suggested by physicians, especially for women. What is your take?

It's just a canvas bag or duffel bag with straps going all the way around it to help cradle and support the weight inside. You simply put heavy things inside and boom you have weight that you can lift as "resistance".

This contest has a picture of one. And there are pictures of them throughout Chapter 9 of the book.
You can also check out the "engineer bag" tag for other posts for ideas. :)

Wow how did this not show up sooner? I apologize for the delay; I'm sure you've either figured it out by now or else given up on it in frustration, but here's your belated response: if you're trying to open it in Preview, some people have reported issues with that. You can download Adobe's Acrobat Reader (for free) here and that should work fine. Alternately, a different e-book release is in the works (in order to make it available for Kindle and to be more iphone friendly as well).
But again, I hope you've worked this out and have enjoyed the book. :)

I just gave blood for the first time since starting to work out in November. For the past 2-3 times I had been rejected for low iron. Now I eat much more lean red meat and take vitamins - I feel better than ever and post-donation, I don't feel like I'm going to die.

Plus, I brought my own walnuts and dark chocolate instead of eating white flour sugar cookies and sugary juice :)
